It was 1974 when we started to make it a name; customer service, quality equipment and the knowledge to make a difference for the people on Vancouver Island. GWG Rentals has always been a locally owned and operated business that has now grown to five locations – two in Victoria, and three in the Lower Mainland. We have stores in Victoria, Saanich, and Cloverdale, Chilliwack and just opened our latest in Burnaby. All of our stores carry a full line of general contracting equipment. We also get into many specialized items not carried by the larger chains. We do not use a national template on equipment and how we service the customer. We do not need one; we have known the local customer for 30 plus years. We know what equipment you need and we know what kind of service you expect. We have a wealth of experience, so if you have any specific situations let us know – we can often suggest equipment to make your job easier. Our owners, managers, sales staff, counter staff and mechanics all have extensive experience in the industry. Almost all of us have 20+ years in the business, and have worked for large multi-national chains as well as independent companies. We have grown our business based on the needs of our customers, rather than focusing on shareholders and share prices.

We have over time developed an organization that focuses on many areas. GWG Rentals offers many things; we have fully outfitted service vehicles with 24/7 emergency support for our customers, we have a full fleet of trucks (including tractor trailers) to deliver and pickup when our customers need it, we can offer service, repairs and transport for your equipment, we have a large inventory of merchandise and equipment which we sell both new and used, but most important is we have the ability and the choice through our actions to provide you with the best possible customer experience in British Columbia.
